of a weekend’s creativity

Hey Kumo Pop Up

Hey Inu

The Paper Pan

Had a quick visual pick-me-up after I zipped down to the National Museum today to visit Hey Kumo buddies at their pop-up stall. As usual, I just love what they put together and what they create! Bought myself a Spitalsfield map for wandering purposes and a one-time-print-only-*for now* doggie canvas tote for my sister. Maybe next creative market, I’ll get something from The Paper Pan.

I’m glad I made time for this, because I also managed to visit NMS’ exhibition on Kuo Pao Kun. I just realised today’s the last day, lucky me! It was a well-thought out exhibition, which attempted to capture his efforts in growing local theatre. Though I’m not that big a fan of Chinese theatre, I might be able to read his works slowly, instead of watching the words act themselves out. Guess I’ve found myself a new project in the pipeline!

i forgot to tell you, the london sunday upmarket is a must-go. MUCH better than spitalfields for this sort of thing! (though a tad pricer).

    pretty photos!

I was planning on a Spitalsfield/Shoreditch day of wandering. Hmm! Now I think I might have to squeeze in the Sunday Upmarket with Maltby Street :D

How pretty! I’m a bit out of touch but how do these pop-up stalls work? Are they there every week?

hi zee :) these stalls were part of Public Garden, a flea market organiser (https://www.facebook.com/publicgarden), and this time round it was held at National Museum. previous editions of Public Garden were at MICA Building Atrium, and these were held once a month over a weekend. The list of vendors aren’t always the same, though you see some familiar ones. There’s also MAAD (https://www.facebook.com/goMAAD) every month at Red Dot Museum. next up is on 1st March, swing by? :)
