of the next sunrise
My grandma left us just as the year began its first week.
The following few days passed quickly, with quiet grief and gratitude for this old lady with a strong will. I’m glad she is no longer suffering, even though the sadness remotely remains in us, because she passed away in her sleep without anyone saying goodbye and thank you to her.
In the few days, I tried to reflect upon her passing, her being, and who we all are as individuals. As fleeting as our existences are on Earth, as long as we try to make each day worth it, as long as we try to be better people, we will make a difference in someone’s life.
Today, I looked up at the skies and watched the clouds move. Let’s not hold ourselves back because of misgivings, because of shyness (I’m too shy at times to verbally express gratitude), and love each other because you never know if you’ll get to say goodbye.

*big hugs* condolences dear. hope you are doing better each day
thanks jolene. we’ll be fine, it’s always difficult to say goodbye.
I am sorry for your loss. I am sure your grandma is smiling in the sky…
Big hugs
natsumi
